It is with great pleasure we announce two solo exhibitions opening from 12-6 pm in Kling & Bang, with the works of Aniara Omann (DK) and María Rún Þrándardóttir (ICE). The exhibitions are a part of Reykjavík Arts Festival.
María Rún Þrándardóttir is one of a number of emerging artists represented at this year‘s Reykjavík Arts Festival. María Rún graduated from Iceland University of the Arts in 2019 with a degree in Fine Art. Kling & Bang will host her first public solo exhibition, featuring new and urgent work.
María Rún‘s work is in constant dialogue with contemporary concerns but its approach to such issues as feminism, climate change and the relationship between man and nature is likely to surprise and provoke. Language plays an important part in the artist‘s work, while she will often mine her personal experience in order to create installations and video art. |
