Hinum megin - Galleri Kichin
Að færa fornan stein - Gallerí Kichin
05. 06. 2026 - 19. 07. 2026

Welcome to the opening of two exhibitions. The Other Side and Gallerí Kichin take over Kling & Bang with an exciting selection of events and exhibitions.

The Other Side is a new curatorial collective founded by Hugo Llanes, Janosch Bela Kratz, and Katerína Spathí. In their exhibition “To Move an Ancient Stone”, territory appears and disappears – not only as a physical ground, but as something shaped by power, extraction, displacement, and shared memory.

The exhibiting artists are:
angela Snæfellsjökuls rawlings in collaboration with Janosch Bela Kratz
Aysha E. Arar
Halla Einarsdóttir
Kate Crawford & Vladan Joler
MORAKANA (Tiri Kananuruk & Sebastián Morales Prado)
Ósk Vilhjálmsdóttir.

Gallerí Kichin was founded by Skúli Thayer and Silja Rún Högnadóttir when they began their studies at the Iceland University of the Arts. Initially, the gallery centred around an ambiguous piece of furniture on which a series of frequent exhibitions, titled Sculpture of the Week, were presented. Over time, the exhibitions expanded beyond the furniture and into exhibition spaces.
During this exhibition period, they will host six openings featuring the crème de la crème of the Icelandic art scene.
