Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir-Hannes Lárusson-Florence Lam
02. 06. 2018 - 16. 06. 2018
The exhibition Peppermint is an elusive creature; a three-headed giant of sorts, with three artists taking over the rooms of Kling & Bang to perform a series of brand new performances. The artists invited by Kling & Bang are Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir, Hannes Lárusson and Florence Lam, whom all have focused on performances in their practice. The artists are all at various points in their career, each dealing with the art form in their own way. Each artist has been given an exhibition space in the gallery and each has one weekend at their disposal.

Alongside the three performances there will be daily screenings of videos from The Confected Video Archive of Kling & Bang. Since 2009 Kling & Bang has been building an archive of video art, now counting over 300 videos. The archive is compiled by the gallery out of the many projects, exhibitions and collaborations that Kling & Bang has undertaken, not only in their roles as hosts and curators, but also as artists in their own right. The archive contains artists’ films, videos and animations, as well as documentations of performances and much more. This will be the first time The Confected Video Archive of Kling & Bang will be shown in Kling & Bang.

Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir – 2nd of June at 5pm
Hannes Lárusson – 9th of June at 4pm
