Hide your babies! With magnets, radio waves, dark matter, white powder, the "oooh" sound, uninflatable currency, inflated breasts, cockroaches and transgenic ice, INVASIONISTAS are landing in Reykjavik to twist our common truth. This is the first time this particular line up comes together for a show. During the past 10 years, they've been collaborating in two’s and more, through performances, installations and video. Kling and Bang Gallery has asked Hrafnhildur Arnardottir to prepare the invasion for the Sequences Festival. INVASIONISTAS will set up camp in the gallery and work as a cult-like organization, each introducing individual elements of power through performance, music, recruitments, interventions and special missions during their 1-week stay. The Master, Hrafnhildur Arnardottir aka Shoplifter, will be commanding the operations directly from Central in New YORK CITY via special live communication channel. Throughout the week INVASIONISTAS will conduct series of events such as the HUMAN GEYSIR, FRIENDLY FIRE and TAKEOVER OF LAUGAVEGUR, to explore the meaning and history of invasion in general and how it is reflected throughout the world, in Icelandic history and dead end politics of our Homeland Empire. With deep superficial vision and entertainment INVASIONISTAS will introduce their view on life and love.
